Getting to and around Potsdam
Potsdam is easily reachable from Berlin. If travelling from Berlin, Potsdam can be reached by S-Bahn (e.g., S7) or with frequent regional train connections from most Berlin train stations (e.g., Zoologischer Garten, Berlin Central station, Berlin Friedrichstraße station). For example, from Berlin Zoologischer Garten the travel time to Potsdam central station is about 20-35 minutes depending on the connection. The venue is 700 meters (10 minutes) walk from the Potsdam central station (Potsdam Hbf) or approx. 8 minutes with public transport (Tram 91, 92, 93, 96, 98, 99, Tram stop: Potsdam, Alter Markt/Landtag; Bus: 603, 605, 609, 631, 638, 639, 695).
If arriving by car, paid parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the Alter Markt.
From the airport (Berlin Berlin-Brandenburg) you can reach Potsdam by a regional train (RB22) or by bus (BER2). The travel time is approx. 1 hour. If staying in Berlin, the airport is well connected to the city with frequent express trains, regional trains, buses and S-Bahn connections to different parts of the city.
Local transportation tickets can be bought from ticket machines at most stations or via an app (e.g., Jelbi, BVG, VBB apps; all require registration). Note that Berlin-Brandenburg is divided into 3 fare zones: AB-zones cover greater Berlin area (to city borders) and C-zone covers Berlin-Brandenburg Airport & Potsdam.
If travelling to the venue from Berlin, you will need the ABC ticket, if travelling directly from the airport to Potsdam, you will need the Berlin BC ticket.
